The Faculty of Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University, in line with the university’s strategic plan, has focused on three main objectives in developing its own strategic plan: to enhance scientific and innovative research capacity, to improve the quality of education and teaching, and to strengthen institutional capacity by improving interaction with stakeholders and the quality of social services. The Faculty of Business Administration’s mission and vision have been defined to support these strategic objectives and are underpinned by strategic goals.
Particularly within stakeholder relations, the participation of both internal and external stakeholders plays a significant role. Internal stakeholders include students, academic and administrative staff, while external stakeholders encompass various ministries, local governments, national and international research centres, employers, alumni, and civil society organisations. Furthermore, within the scope of external stakeholders, the Faculty Advisory Board, composed of experts and individuals from various sectors, is also involved in the processes. Effective communication and cooperation with these stakeholders is critical to achieving the faculty’s strategic goals.
Strategic objectives such as diversifying joint social responsibility projects and activities with stakeholders, encouraging active stakeholder participation in faculty activities, and developing the institution’s quality assurance systems aim to increase the faculty’s positive social impact and contribution to educational quality. In this context, the faculty’s strategic management approach is strengthened by continuous improvement and a stakeholder-focused approach.
