Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Business Administration continuously improves its strategic planning process and performance evaluation practices. This process is closely monitored through annual activity reports to assess whether the strategic goals set by the faculty have been achieved. The Faculty has adopted a management approach that evaluates performance-oriented outcomes within the scope of the Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5018. Since 2006, it has been preparing five-year strategic plans and managing their implementation through the Strategy Commission. The achievement of strategic goals is regularly evaluated and reported every six months. During this evaluation process, the manner in which the achieved goals were accomplished is examined in detail, while the reasons and obstacles behind the unachieved goals are carefully addressed. Our faculty’s monitoring and evaluation ecosystem is primarily built on three main commissions; however, other relevant sub-commissions also actively contribute to the process to ensure its widespread implementation and the reliable collection of data.
Commission Responsibilities:
-Strategic Plan Commission: Conducts work related to the preparation and follow-up of the strategic plan.
-Quality Commission: Coordinates accreditation and self-assessment activities.
-Assurance of Learning (AOL) Commission: Responsible for establishing and managing the AOL system within the framework of AACSB activities.
-Other Commissions Supporting the Process: Working groups such as the Education Commission, Internship Commission, Adjustment Commission, and Department Academic Boards play an active role in the realisation of our faculty’s education, research, and social contribution goals.
These commissions monitor performance indicators in their respective fields, provide data flow to the Strategy and Quality Commissions, and contribute to the continuous improvement cycle.
