The impact statement of the Faculty of Business is to raise awareness of reducing inequalities (SDG 10) among disadvantaged groups and of the importance of gender equality (SDG 5).
The FoB had stood out as the first in Türkiye to offer a compulsory course on gender equality (FBA 1307 Gender Equality), in addition to elective courses focusing on gender issues. Our curriculum includes courses related to these focus areas such as Volunteerism Studies, Sustainability Awareness, Gender Equality, Women in Businesss Life, Gender and Society .
Faculty has many related research and projects and we organize enlightening series, including seminars, panels, and workshops in relevant fields.
We reach more than 750 students through our curriculum and engage 200 stakeholders, including academic and administrative staff, through activities and scholarships each year. We already have international partners worldwide and aim to expand collaborative activities specifically in these focus areas. We are tracking our societal impact by measuring the number of students attending the courses, the number of participants in activities, and the number of ongoing projects and publications.
The following tables summarize key outputs, outcomes, and measurement approaches across our SDG 5 & 10 initiatives, demonstrating progress toward positive societal impact.
