The Faculty of Business at Dokuz Eylül University has been awarded accreditation by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious international accreditation bodies for business education. With this significant achievement, the Faculty joins the approximately 6% of business schools worldwide that have earned AACSB accreditation.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is one of the world’s most respected organizations dedicated to advancing excellence in business education. As a global, nonprofit association, AACSB establishes internationally recognized standards of quality for business schools and promotes excellence in education, research, and societal impact. Today, AACSB has more than 1,900 member institutions and over 1,000 accredited business schools worldwide.

The Faculty of Business at Dokuz Eylül University began its AACSB accreditation journey in 2018 and successfully completed the Eligibility Application process in 2019. Following the preparation of its institutional self-evaluation report in 2020, the Faculty implemented comprehensive improvements in identified areas for development beginning in 2022 and submitted annual continuous improvement reports to AACSB. The accreditation process reached its final stage in November 2024. During the Peer Review Team visit held on 23–25 March 2026, the Faculty’s four undergraduate, seven master’s, and three doctoral programs were evaluated. In July 2026, following separate approval votes by the Initial Accreditation Committee and the Global Accreditation Committee, the Peer Review Team’s recommendation was endorsed, and the Faculty of Business officially earned AACSB accreditation, effective 20 July 2026.

Currently, all undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the Faculty’s four academic departments—Business Administration, Economics, Tourism Management, and International Trade and Business—are covered by AACSB accreditation.

AACSB accreditation will further enhance the international visibility of the Faculty of Business, strengthen the global recognition of its degrees, expand opportunities for international academic collaboration, and reinforce its engagement with the business community. Guided by its commitment to excellence in education, research, and societal impact, the Faculty will continue to advance international quality standards and create value on a global scale.

As of July 2026, only seven business schools in Türkiye hold AACSB accreditation: three at public universities (Istanbul University, Sakarya University, and Dokuz Eylül University) and four at foundation universities (Bilkent University, Koç University, Sabancı University, and Özyeğin University).
