Our university has once again officially certified the quality standards of its internal and external quality assurance systems in education and teaching, research and development, societal contribution activities, and administrative services by receiving full accreditation within the scope of the 2024 Interim Evaluation Program conducted by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). Our Institutional Accreditation by YÖKAK, at full status, has been approved until June 28, 2027.
As the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Business, international accreditation and recognition processes are also being pursued with determination. In line with our internationalization goals, our efforts toward internationally recognized accreditation and recognition particularly include NIBS (Network of International Business Schools) and AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), both of which hold significant value in terms of international visibility, prestige, and global collaboration capacity for business schools.
In addition to being an international network, NIBS also operates as an accreditation and evaluation body. For the first time in Turkey, NIBS accreditation has been granted at our university to the departments of Business Administration, Economics, Tourism Management, Political Science and International Relations, and International Trade and Business for a period of five years, valid until the end of 2027. Through NIBS, our university provides various advantages in terms of international student exchange programs and joint degree opportunities.
Furthermore, the Faculty of Business has been conducting AACSB accreditation processes since 2018 for all undergraduate and graduate programs offered by four departments (Business Administration, Economics, Tourism Management, and International Trade and Business). Following the institutional self-evaluation report prepared in 2020, improvements have been implemented in identified areas for development starting from 2022, and annual self-evaluation reports have been submitted. The process has now reached its final stage. Between March 23–25, 2026, the AACSB Peer Review Team will conduct a site visit and make accreditation decisions regarding four undergraduate programs, seven master’s programs, and three doctoral programs.
